Why you need a travel advisor
It's not just you; traveling with family members is hard. Whether you’re planning a trip with kids, parents, grandparents, or close friends, juggling schedules, planning a family trip is inherently challenging because you’re balancing multiple personalities, needs, and expectations all at once. Packing efficiently, anticipating unexpected problems, and balancing rest with adventure adds to the workload. Trip planners carry most of the mental and emotional labor, ensuring everyone is happy and comfortable.
At Family Travel, we believe it’s possible to not only enjoy the process but to make planning inclusive, joyful and fun. This guide will walk you through every step so your family trip is organized, joyful, and (as) stress-free (as possible). We aim to help families travel more, truly enjoy their trips and create lasting memories.
Here’s what sets us apart from other travel advisors:
We understand family needs.
We have traveled with pregnant bellies, infants, toddlers, school aged and pre-teens. We have lived all of the disastrous moments so you don’t have to. We know which destinations, hotels, and tours actually work for kids of different ages—managing strollers, nap schedules, picky eaters, neurodiverse kids, teens who get bored easily, and parents who still want to relax.
We know you’re tired of making decisions all day, every day.
Give us your vision and must-haves and let us narrow those decisions down for you. Instead of spending hours researching “where should we go,” “Is this hotel really kid-friendly?” or “Will this tour allow children?”, we filter options for you and present choices that already fit your family.
We handle the details.
Things like connecting rooms, kids-eat-free programs, childcare options, family seating on flights, safety considerations, laundry, and realistic travel times matter a lot with children—and we can catch these details before they become problems.
Here are some examples of ways we can help!
Destination counseling: You know your budget, family’s needs and interests but can’t figure out where to go. Let us do that research for you and come up with great options.
Accommodations search: You have booked the flight but can’t pick between resorts, hotels and rentals. Let us weigh those options for you and give you the bottom line.
Planning back up: Flights and lodging booked and now you need to plan your days around nap time for the littles or screen time for the bigs, and somehow find engaging family activities across the ages. We would love to help you find the right tours and excursions that stay true to your vision.
Post trip remembering: You get home to a mountain of laundry, need to get groceries and unpack. Who has time to make a photobook of your awesome trip? We do! Send those right over.
